Coconut oil is obtained by cold pressing the flesh of the coconut. At room temperature, coconut oil has a characteristic solid, butter-like consistency; at temperatures above 20° it looks like an oily liquid. This property is important for storage and use: in summer it can be put in a bottle and taken with a dropper; in winter the container needs to be heated in a bain-marie or transferred to a larger, sterilized container with a lid and then taken out with a spoon. In cosmetics, the skin gains beauty, elasticity and softness. Perfect as a makeup remover for the face or as a moisturizer after a shower.
